Quick update
So the last couple of weeks have been crazy. Two of my kids had a stomach bug which got passed on to me. For 2 days I couldn’t keep anything down. My kids loved that I was sick because I was so sick that I let them eat junk and watch cartoons all day. Then my van broke down. So I was without a car for at least a week because my husband works so much he didn’t have time to look at what was wrong with it. We ended up getting it towed to a shop. Come to find out it was a part we replaced in Aug so it was under warranty still. We only had to pay for labor! Now on to the baby, everything is going good. The IP’s came down on Nov 18th for my doctor’s appt. Their faces where priceless when they heard the baby’s heartbeat, it was a great experience for me. They had a ton of questions for the doctor. It was nice to see them really get involved. Afterwards the IM wanted a picture with me and the belly. And if you know me I hate getting my picture taken. But I let them take my picture. I go back on Dec 13th for an Ultra Sound to see if the blood clot is still there and to find out the sex. I’m hoping the clot gone. After the Ultra Sound we are taking the kids to Disney. They are super excited and I am too. I’ll update again after the 13th.

13wks
WOW!! Can't believe I'm 13 wks. Theses last couple of weeks have been flying by. So far I'm feeling pretty good, I still have morning sickness but hopefully that will go away soon. I've been trying to "Take it Easy" what ever does that mean when you have 3 kids? I still have the blood clot but we are hoping that will go away on its own. I recently switched doctors. I was seeing a doctor here in Lakeland and loved him but I don't want to deliver here in Lakeland. I had such a great experience at Winnie Palmer in Orlando. So because I want to deliver at Winnie Palmer I have to see a doctor who delivers there, so I am now seeing the doctor that delivered Nevaeh. I went and saw him on Oct 22nd. He informed me that this is a high risk pregnancy because of the blood clot and losing baby A. I go back on Nov 18th and I'm excited because the IP's are flying in for this appointment. I have made arrangements for the kids so I will be kid less for this appointment which is nice. I haven't taken a 13 wk belly pic but here is a 12 wk belly pic.

Sonogram results
Monday I went for my sonogram to see how many babies I was carrying. I was so excited to find out. At the beginning of the sonogram I got very excited I saw 2 babies. It was pretty awesome. But then the doctor gave me the bad news. Only one baby had a heart beat. That broke my heart. He also noticed that Baby A had a blood clot beside it. The blood clot isn't by Baby B so we don't have to worry about that right now. Baby B is measuring 8wks and 3 days right on track and has a very strong heart beat. I go back on Nov 1st. Baby B

Waiting
So I'm pregnant...and now we wait till Oct 4th to find out if theres 2! :) I just started having morning sickness. Which totally sucks when you have 2 kids to get ready for school. I don't remember it being so bad when I was pregnant with my kids. Its amazing how we forget huh? Every morning Natalie asks me if the BABIES are making me sick. Yes, she says BABIES. Nathaniel likes to tell everybody he sees "My mom is having TWINS, but we're not keeping them" oh the looks I get. I like how everybody seems to know that theres 2 babies. We had to have a little talk with Nathaniel and Natalie. Not everybody needs to know our business. lol I always feel like I'm hungry no matter if I just ate an hr ago. Oh and getting up at 3am to eat? I don't remember doing this when I was pregnate before. Oh well maybe its a sign I need to eat more before I go to bed.
When we started this journey we went to a small church and had very few friends. Now we go to a huge church and have a ton of friends. Its a bit overwhelming. I'm not complaining its just going to take awhile to get use to everybody asking questions. Esp when you have a 4 and 7 yr old telling strangers. lol
I can't wait till Oct 4th I really want to know if my husband and kids are right. Is there really 2 babies?
Come back Oct 4th to find out. :)

Transfer
Can’t believe we have made it this far! This morning we had 2 embryos implanted. Fingers crossed at least one stays. The whole procedure this morning was so quick and easy. It really surprised me that it didn’t hurt at all. I think the worst part was the fact that I wasn’t allowed to eat or drink anything after midnight. So I was starving when we got done. My IPs had to catch their flight so we didn’t have much time to catch up afterwards. We did get to go grab a bite to eat with them….IHOP yum
We fly back tomorrow night. We don’t have anything special planned. Although we understand Nevaeh doesn’t want to stay in the hotel the whole time. I on the other hand have loved staying in bed watching TV and playing on the computer……. this is my vacation lol Jim has been taking Nevaeh on walks and to the pool so she doesn’t get too bored. She has been really good. She really enjoyed the plane rides here we hope she enjoys them on our way home too. Now we just wait for September 7th for blood tests to see if I’m pregnant.

My Medicine Cabinet
So on July 27th I started my Lupron injects. Not too bad. I was sure I wouldn't be able to do it because I HATE needles. I was surprised when I did my first injection...I didn't even feel it! Now I did noticed that shorty after taking the Lupron I was dizzy. Which it does say on the box "May cause Dizziness".
The next thing I start taking is Estrace pills which I started on August 8th I did noticed on that day that I was very emotional don't know if the Estrace had something to do with it or not. It also states it "May cause Dizziness". Haven't noticed any side affects with the Estrace. I also started on Vivelle Dots (patches same thing as the pills Estrace) There isn't any warnings for the patches. I will say the patches itch and I find them annoying. I have to put 3 on my abdomen every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. When I took Fridays patches off today I had a rash where the patches where. Not sure if that's normal or not. I will check with the doctor tomorrow. I only have one more med to start on and thats the Progesterone injects which start on August 19th I'm not looking forward to those injects because the needles are so much bigger! Wish me luck! I'm looking forward to August 25th!

Our Trip to Missouri
So we made it safely to Missouri. We had a layover in ATL. Flying isn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I’m still not a fan of flying though. I did cry a little. But once I prayed everything was a ok. I felt at peace. I know he was with me and will always be with me. We checked into our hotel and then went to dinner. We don't get out much without the kids. So it was nice to have alone time. The kids would have loved the hotel room. For some reason they love hotels. It feels weird to be without the kids. Can’t wait to be home with the them.
The next day we went to the doctor. We were super nervous but knew everything would be ok. Before we went to see the doc we decided to take the drive to see the arch. It was well worth it. It was amazing. We have decided we will have to bring the kids up here sometime to see it. They will love it. We didn’t get out of the car. We drove past it. After that we went to see the doc. The doctor was super nice he answered all of our questions and even gave us information we didn’t know. Then his assistant sat down with us and gave us all the important dates and information. We are super excited. The only thing I don’t like is the shots. I HATE needles. I have to give myself shots everyday for about 3 months. Darn. Oh well I am going to do it and be happy about doing it too. If everything goes as plans the transfer date will be August 25th! Time to get home to my babies!

Looks like its really happening this time
So as many of you know. Jim and I decided to be surrogate parents in 2007. Well we got to meet a couple of great couples but it always fell through. We believe things happen for a reason we may not know why and question why God puts us through these hard times but we have to remember he has a plan and only he knows the outcome. We have to trust him. It’s been tough and we have thought about giving up. But we are proud to say it looks like we will finally be able to carry for a great couple! We are almost out of the legal part and are scheduled to fly up north June 13th to see the Doctor. Stay tuned….we are hoping the next couple months to be exciting!
